Beyond the Patch.
The Writer’s Patch was born from a shared love for Rwanda—the land of a thousand hills.
Jordan, a British travel photographer and writer, and Elizabete, an Angolan-Portuguese interior and graphic designer, first met and fell in love here. Our journey eventually led us to a wedding on Rwandan soil and a shared dream: to create a sanctuary that reflected our lives as explorers and creatives.
We wanted to build the kind of escape we were always searching for—a private, peaceful space at the edge of the wild where you can write, design, and dream without distraction.
Designed and built from the ground up, The Writer’s Patch is a fusion of our two worlds. It combines a photographer’s eye for light and landscape with a designer’s obsession for texture and traditional craft. More than just a property, it is our personal tribute to the stillness of Lake Ruhondo and the creative energy of this country.
